Les Bonbons are a recently formed band led by songwriters Billy Lynch (rhythm guitar) and Pastille (vocals). The line up is completed by an assorted collection of musicians consisting of Hazel Nut (piano/backing vocals), Graham Brulée (bass), Herbert Fontaine (lead guitar) and Tom Tom (drums).

After meeting in London in the summer of 2010, Lynch and Pastille created a melting pot of their previous musical experiences and have been prolifically writing and recording ever since. Named after the 1966 Jacques Brel song, Les Bonbonsʼ music has a great pop ʻtenueʼ which sits merrily on top of gypsy jazz rhythms. Django Reinhardt at times, Jarvis Cocker or Serge Gainsbourg at others, the bandʼs sweet melodies filter through with subtlety and instant familiarity. Their songs are characterised by sensual and playful lyrics, most notably on their debut single, 'The Sexual Appetite
of the French'. Here's what co-writers Lynch and Pastille have to say about the song:

"It's about hunger, it's a tease, it's a plea.... It's a warning !" - Billy Lynch

"This song is an ode to sex. Sexual envy to be precise. An endless libido dancing in our heads with pamplemousse and kangaroos jumping around in circles. I wrote the English parts, Billy the French ones... An obvious choice since his French is appalling and my English not always the queenʼs.
"Rien de tel que dʼecrire une chanson dans une langue quʼon ne comprend pas tout a fait." -
(translates) "Thereʼs nothing like writing a song in a language you donʼt fully understand." - Fred Pastille
