C A whorey, milordy
tale which whacks drive-by fuckos with enough venom to scare the Blair Bitch
(Hanging Cherie - they call her - take the girlie picture out of the phone Booth
- niggaz!!) So who's in the Black Rob house? L'il Kim - her highness, his Mase-ness
and guess what? Brother Puff on two tracks no less! More is less for Sean Puffy
and he also crowbars girlfriend Jennifer Lopez on a track. Keep it in the family
ah Puff? - the magic bandwagon - jump on or you're gone.
"This is a monopolyniggaz
can't touch usbecause Puff set us up properly"If Black Rob can get over the
privilege of Puff putting out one of his records - he'll be fine. But enough
of kissing the arse of the company head' please - you don't get Oasis writing
a paean to Alan McGee to you? Plenty to impress here but the operatic Jasmine
is a stand out track and the title track followed by Whoa! featuring the outstanding
Joe Hooker, a Joe Cocker for the gangsta generation flies out of the stereo...
"It's 1999. No
more Mr. nice guy."
So much for the
new millennium serenity. But then you have to remember this is the back end
of that century and Life Story says it all. Too many lives gone to waste. Too
much poor on poor crime. Fuck that! To quote Black Rob,
"I'm going to get
creative on your arse."
